The Accommodation

The upper floor was where the original owner entertained his male friends with billiards or banqueting. This was, and has now been restored to, a delightful living area with an ornate coved ceiling, an exact replica of the original.

The original fireplace now contains a wood burning stove. The tiles on the hearth were found below the porch during excavations.

The floor in the porch, also discovered during the works, is slate in the shape of an oval billiard table.

The slate cladding on the outside of the upper part of the building, very unusual in the Isle of Man, was mostly still in situ.

The ground floor was the coach house, which has now been converted to:

Master bedroom with king size bed and built-in wardrobe. French windows from this room open onto a paved patio.

Twin bedroom also with built in wardrobe.

Bathroom with bath and separate shower. The washing machine is also housed in a built-in cupboard in the bathroom.

The back door on this level opens onto large lawned area with picnic table suitable for a barbeque.

A ground source heat pump provides a constant supply of hot water and underfloor heating for the property.
